I know we are always thanking our family and friends for all their help and support, just for plain putting up with us!!!!
However small, even large business’s never get off the ground without support from extra kind and helpful people.
I know when we three young things started talking about how we could run our business, we had many an idea, but kept getting pushed back, or couldn’t get the right information, but our biggest hurdle was minimum orders.
Minimum Orders – $250, $500, yes, it may not look like a lot of money, but when you’re trying to stock a business and you need to purchase way more of a single product than you really need to fill those shelves – you find yourself over extended and only with a handful of product choice.
So getting back to that extra kind and helpful person – Sue Carter – I met Sue originally back when I was Hairdressing (Yes, for those who don’t know I, Chrissie was a Hairdresser for around 15 years).
Sue was and still is in the Printing Game. She has done all our printing for us from day one, business cards, leaflets, posters, gift certificates, stickers, catalogues & CD’s, you name it she can do it!!!
And the best part no minimum orders, if you want one or one thousand and one, she’s your lady. It gets better, it’s all at fantastic rates – so if you’re looking for someone with great experience, ideas and support, Sue’s your lady.
There are lots more to be added soon but in the meantime here's an important one.
I (Chrissie) received an e-mail from a girl named Justyna who works at APQ Magazine, informing me of a disaster that had befallen their Editor, Lorraine Moran. Whilst on her way to an exhibition in Brisbane, Lorraine had four of her Heirloom Quilts stolen along with the suitcase they were in.
These Quilts have a huge sentimental value to Lorraine and their return would be greatly appreciated. We all know how much work, time and effort we put into our Quilts, especially when they are made for our loved ones.
Images of the stolen Quilts have been posted onto a Lost Quilt Website, and we've included one - "The Seven Sisters" here.
This site is full of useful information such as - Protecting Your Quilt, Displaying & Storing Your Quilts, and even happy Endings - Recovered Quilts.
So check it out, you'll be surprised at all the information. Please feel free to pass this link onto as may people as you know, and who knows, maybe Lorraine will get one of those happy endings.
Keep yourself in stitches
Chrissie XOXO
